Elizabeth Schirmer currently leads the national sales and services division of Sweetwater, and is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of programs to establish the company as a cellulosic bio-energy industry leader.

Ms. Schirmer received her B.S. in International Business and Marketing from Villanova University and an Economics certificate from East China Normal University in Shanghai. Ms. Schirmer also completed her M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship and Marketing at the University of Rochester, with a focus on Sustainability Management Strategy at Harvard University's School of Public Health extension graduate studies program.

Ms. Schirmer’s positions prior to Sweetwater included sales force management, business development, marketing research, corporate communications, and event and brand management roles.  Her co-professional pursuits include the Greater Rochester Women’s Council Young Woman of Distinction Scholarship and Compeer youth mentoring programs.
